Reychel is a water and sanitation specialist at Aguaconsult with a special interest in the relationship of institutions, finance, society and engineering on the sustainability of WaSH services.
She has more than 5 years of in-country field experience working in 8 Latin-American countries across the aspects of monitoring, evaluation, maintenance arrangements, and design of rural and urban water, solid waste management and sanitation systems; working with local and national governments, Non-profit Organizations, private companies, and public-private partnerships. She has carried out research projects, systems evaluations, and training to a range of institutions and civil society.
Reychel holds a B.E. in Environmental Engineering from the Tecnologico de Costa Rica, a Diploma in Industrial Wastewater Engineering and an M.Sc. in Water Sanitation and Health Engineering from the University of Leeds, M.Sc. thesis on A Systematic Review of the On-Site Sanitation Emptiers’ Livelihood. She is completing her MBA at the Universidad Estatal a Distancia.
She is fluent in Spanish and English.
