Elise is a water and sanitation specialist at Aguaconsult and holds a B.E. in Civil and Environmental Engineering and an M.Sc. in Environmental Science from the University of Paris-Sorbonne.
Elise has over four years of experience in the sector. Her work primarily concerns challenging sustainable issues in Sub-Saharan Africa and the Middle East, focusing on sanitation and solid waste. Elise has provided advisory and research services that have supported governments, donors, and NGOs to increase the sustainability of their water and sanitation schemes and interventions. She has carried out research projects, programme evaluation, and training. She has experience of working on projects in Ethiopia, Ghana, Lebanon, Malawi, Palestine, Senegal, South Africa and Sudan.
Before joining Aguaconsult, Elise worked with Action Against Hunger, an international non-governmental organisation on large-scale waste projects in Lebanon. Elise has also worked on several innovative research studies with the research and developing department of SIAAP in Paris and Notre Dame University in Lebanon.
She is fluent in French, English, and Arabic.
