WASH Specialist & Engineer
Analía is a WASH specialist with over six years of experience in the sector, primarily focusing on projects related to policy, institutions, service delivery models, WASH climate resilience, finance, and regulatory frameworks for water and sanitation in low- and middle-income countries.
While at Aguaconsult, Analía has worked for a range of clients such as IRC, RAMSAR, the World Bank, ESAWAS, USAID, and GIZ. She has extensive experience in Urban Sanitation, WASH resilient services, and the professionalization of service delivery. For the past two years, Analía has coordinated the implementation of the Professionalization Rural Water research stream for Real Water, a USAID-funded research program in Ghana and Peru.
Before joining Aguaconsult, she worked on implementing alternative drinking water and sanitation solutions in rural, post-conflict, and humanitarian settings. She also worked in the Colombian President's office, formulating a National Plan to expand water and sanitation coverage in a post-conflict scenario for prioritized municipalities in Colombia.
Analía holds a BSc in Environmental Engineering and Microbiology, as well as an MSc in Water Science, Policy, and Management and an MA in International WASH from Universidad de Alcalá de Henares. She has extensive experience in data science, programming, Geographic Information Analysis (GIS) for hydrological applications, and qualitative research. She is fluent in English and Spanish, with a working level of Portuguese (A2) and basic Italian.
