Ghana - Lessons for rural water supply

Date: March 3, 2011

A participatory study appraising the cohesiveness of water sector practice in Ghana, with the view to fostering greater consensus around sector programming and improving donor alignment. This process included assessing the prospects and challenges for coordinating aid in the sector, the potential water sector SWAp roadmap, a comprehensive risk assessment (CRA) recently completed by CIDA, an ongoing exercise to map DPs water programmes and the systems employed in each of these initiatives, the Ghana aid policy and a review of the multi-donor budget support (MDBS) mechanism.
