Aguaconsult joins the Heart Consortia

September 25, 2017

In November 2016 Aguaconsult joined the HEART consortia, which provides DfID with on-demand rapid, quality technical assistance for their programmes around the world. This framework contract is part of the ‘Expert Advice Call Down Service’ (EACDS). The consortia responds to requests for programmatic support from time-pressured DfID advisors at HQ or any of the country offices, fielding expert and often multi-disciplinary teams. Common assignments include programmatic reviews, inputs into business case design, and specific studies to strengthen and inform programming.

This is an exciting opportunity for Aguaconsult as it provides the opportunity to shape and enhance the impact of DfID’s programming around the world. The consortia is also multi-sectoral, covering a diverse range of expertise, allowing all  involved to have a more integrated perspective of the sector silos. Thematics of HEART include WASH, health, education, nutrition, social protection, gender and disability. It is also an opportunity to work with new partners who are experts in their respective fields, covering both consulting partners and academic institutions, including Oxford Policy Management (consortia lead), HERA, Mannion Daniels, WISE, Education Development Trust, Institute of Development Studies, the Liverpool School of Tropical Medicine, Leeds University, WEDC, Nutrition Works and the Open University.
