We provide strategic support to cities and businesses in scaling up inclusive sanitation services. This includes support for market assessments, financial and risk analyses, addressing technical and human resource challenges, fundraising, monitoring, social inclusion, and partnerships with government.
Support is provided for services delivered directly to consumers (e.g., pit emptying, communal facilities), services delivered to utilities or businesses (e.g., waste treatment and waste-to-resource), and sales of products (e.g., container-based toilets, handwashing stations).
- Venture Advisor Support; Grand Challenges Canada (GCC): Strategic advice to sanitationfocused ventures supported by GCC, including Clean Team (Ghana), Sanivation (Kenya), X-Runner (Peru), LooWatt (Madagascar) and SOIL (Haiti). Read more.
- Faecal Sludge Management (FSM) Business Plan; World Bank – Lusaka Water and Sewerage Company: Market assessment, development of partnership arrangements with private operators and preparation of the citywide business plan for FSM.
