Partnerships in Practice (PiP) is a UK-based company set up in 2014 that focuses on enhancing the effectiveness of partnership approaches for sustainable development. Although PiP is very new to the world, it builds on the pioneering work of Building Partnerships for Development in Water and Sanitation, or BPD which has a long track-record of innovation in partnerships, incentives and solutions to improves the provision of water and sanitation services in un-served and poorly served communities by ensuring that partnerships are effective and appropriately ambitious. The Sustainable Sanitation Alliance (SuSanA) is an open international alliance with members who share a common vision on sustainable sanitation and are dedicated to understanding viable and sustainable sanitation solutions. It links on the ground experiences with an engaged community made up of practitioners, policy makers, researchers, and academics from different levels with the aim of promoting innovation and best practices in policy, programming and implementation. WASH Advocates is a non profit, nonpartisan initiative dedicated to helping solve the global safe drinking water, sanitation, and hygiene (WASH) challenge. Its mission is to increase awareness of WASH issues and solutions, and to increase the amount and effectiveness of resources devoted to those solutions throughout Africa, Asia, and Latin America. WASH Advocates neither implements projects nor seeks donations, rather it works to increase the amount and effectiveness of resources for the global water, sanitation, and hygiene sector as a whole.
Water For People was set up by members of the American Water Works Association as an international nonprofit development organization in 1991 and has grown to become a leader in social responsibility and innovation in the sector. Water For People is an NGO working in the water and sanitation sector thinking and acting beyond tools and toilets, and beyond today, in order to build a foundation for the future. They are the founding member of the Everyone, Forever movement and work in Africa, Asia and Latin America to bring first time access to those without and to test and scale innovative approaches.
